former Pennsylvania state senator on trial for corruption charges says he relied on his lawyers for advice about what e-mails he could destroy amid the FBI investigation.Philadelphia Democrat Vincent Fumo is on the stand for the third day this week as he fights a $3.5 million fraud and obstruction case.Fumo testified Wednesday that he sought advice from longtime friend and lawyer Richard Sprague and his firm about destroying e-mails.The testimony makes it likely that Sprague will now testify as a government rebuttal witness against Fumo. The two powerful men were long friends and confidantes but are now estranged.Prosecutors are expected to start cross-examining Fumo later in the day. The trial is in its fourth month.
